Results for the Run for Rise Congo 50 Miler

Usually this time of year, here in the mountains of Arizona and at the 5,500 foot elevation, we are in the mid 60’s and sunny. On the day of the run it was 43 degrees, continual rain and at times hail. The terrain William ran on consisted of hills, valleys and and mountains, with muddy, slippery paths. At the 26.8th mile point, William slipped and twisted his left knee which took him out of the marathon. He was devastated.

William has since recovered and is in better spirits, having done his best.

It is so good to have our son home after five years in the Marine Corps. He is settling in back home and into a good routine.

William and Rise Congo thanks those who donated towards his run. For those that still want to give, go to our

website and click on the donate button and follow the instructions.

With the $1,000 raised, we are still in need of $3,000 for the new church plant. We currently have 30 people gathering. The total gifts will be used as follows: $2,500 for a small property and $1,500 for the tin roof, beams, and plastic chairs.

Please prayerfully give according to what the Lord lays on your heart.

Thank you, my friends.
